RUMPY

Rumpy is a 4 year old domestic short hair. He became a blood donor in 2012 and is waiting on his first opportunity to help save a feline friends life.

Rumpy was a rescue from a local veterinary hospital when his female owner, Lisa, was working there as a veterinary technician. He currently looks like a Manx breed of cat but he once had a tail - due to an unknown accident he had to have it amputated. He now lives with his two feline brothers, Dexter and Cheeto as well as Lisa's husband Ryan. Rumpy is a pretty chill cat and occupies most of his days with naps, long stares out the windows and snuggles! Ryan is also his favourite by a mile. Any chance he can get he cries for Ryan to sit or lie down on the couch with him so they can snuggle and nap away together. While he definitely has his favourite person he is friendly with everyone and would never turn away pats or snuggles from anyone else who offered them. —'Rumpy'

JOEY
Joey is not really used much anymore but will be back in when I D/C the depo medrol (allergies) He is 3 legged after being hit by a car, resulting in an brachial avulsion of the right arm, I tried rehab but in the end he needed his arm removed. He is like a dog! He comes when called and is extremely affectionate. Even with only 3 legs he plays, runs and fights with my other cats and wins! He can hold his own just as well if not better than any 4 legged cat!
He is 4yrs old and has been a blood donor since Sept 2010

SIMON
Simon was adopted after being surrendered at 8wks old. He had a fractured humerous which the owners at the time could not afford to fix. After donations of time and money we had his leg fixed and then I added him to my family when he was 3 months old. He is awesome! He greets me at the front door everyday without fail and demands me to "head butt" him or he will follow me around the house meowing at me. He and my older cat are best friends and sleep together all the time.
He is 8yrs old and has been a proud donor since Jan 2011

He is 8 yrs old has been a donor since Nov 2010. Calvin is very proud to be a blood donor for AECFV!!!

BENDER
Bender is a Labrador Retriever. He was born in July 2006 on a farm in Aldergrove. Like most Labs, he's super-friendly and his tail almost never stops wagging; he even wags in his sleep! Bender thinks he is a lap dog, which can be a little uncomfortable given his size. He shares our home with his canine "sister" Maggie. If he's not squeezing his 70-lbs on to someone's lap, he's curled up with (or on top of) her. His favourite toy is his ball, which he carts around everywhere. He sleeps with it like it's a teddy bear.

Bender is happy to be a blood donor. He loves the attention he gets from everyone at AECFV and is always excited to go in to give blood.
