AECFV opened its doors in 1996 and has grown quite a lot since then, but our values have remained the same. Provide the best care possible to the pets in our community. EVH is a community of more than 100 specialty and emergency hospitals across North America driven by the spirit of collaboration and focused on empowering the advancement of veterinary medicine at the local hospital level.
Our Hospital
We are an AAHA and VECCS Level II accredited 24-hour emergency facility that is continually striving for innovation and growth. We have a team of over 100 incredible individuals and are one of the largest and busiest ER-only hospitals in Western Canada, providing coverage for more than 100 referring general practices.
We are proud to have one of the largest blood banks in Canada. A project that started almost 25 years ago to ensure we had blood products for our own patients, now ensures all veterinary hospitals in BC have access! We are taking steps to expand our specialty services in Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Critical Care.
Our 8,000 sq ft hospital has all the bells and whistles you would expect that enable us to provide comprehensive, gold-standard emergency care.

AECFV offers a six month fully mentored internship. New grads will work side by side with a senior technician where you will have hands on training and take an active role in cases while having the guidance of your mentor. We can help you can achieve your full potential!
Compensation
While we believe in offering more than just a wage, we are now offering some of the highest wages in the industry in addition to generous overnight shift premiums. Relocation packaged may be available for full-time candidates.
• Up to $5,000 Signing Bonus based on experience and regularly scheduled shifts.
